Program Overview:  Serenity Vista is a comprehensive rehab program helping people recover from alcoholism and other forms of addiction and codependency in the beautiful tropical getaway destination of Panama. The program is robust and based upon world class standards of the Minnesota model of addiction treatment from the world leading Hazelden Foundation in Minnesota. We incorporate the 12 step program and spiritual principles of Alcoholics Anonymous, including attending 3 weekly AA English speaking meetings in the local community of Boquete. Every day we have two, 2-hour therapy sessions, led by professional counselors and psychotherapists. Because we keep the program small, averaging 2 or 3 at a time, each person receives individual attention and does very well. The program philosophy is holistic in nature, addressing all aspects of healing of body, mind and spirit. The food is excellent, chef prepared, and nourishing. The program is a whole life, fully integrated holistic experience includes daily physical activity, and a full day devoted each week to outdoor recreation and adventure. A favorite outing once monthly is to go sailing on our 36' sailing yacht out of Boca Chica among the beautiful Chiriqui Gulf islands, anchoring overnight at one of the beautiful tropical islands. Eleventh Step Prayer

Lord, make me a channel of thy peace--that where there is hatred, I may bring love--that where there is wrong, I may bring the spirit of forgiveness--that where there is discord, I may bring harmony--that where there is error, I may bring truth--that where there is doubt, I may bring faith--that where there is despair, I may bring hope--that where there are shadows, I may bring light--that where there is sadness, I may bring joy.  Lord, grant that I may seek rather to comfort than to be comforted--to understand, than to be understood--to love, than to be loved.  For it is by self-forgetting that one finds.  It is by forgiving that one is forgiven.  It is by dying that one awakens to eternal life.

Congratulations on your commitment to recovery! Perhaps you are recovering from unhealthy relationships, alcoholism, drugs, gambling, food, internet, sex, or tobacco addiction, codependency, or other self defeating obsessions. You may be a few days sober or a member of a twelve step fellowship, but have fallen away from sponsorship, regular attendance, or working the steps.
